The Black Forest is a lush mountain extend in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. It is flanked by the Rhine valley to the west and south. The most noteworthy crest is the Feldberg with a rise of 1,493 metres. The district is essentially rectangular with a length of 160 km and thickness of up to 60 km.
This aged mountain extent is extremely popular for its legends and the dark fir trees that blanket the scene.
